30 Arrested in Major Harare Drug Bust — Drug Dealers Names Revealed

Harare, Zimbabwe – The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of 30 individuals in a sweeping anti-drug operation carried out in Harare on 14 May 2025.

The crackdown is part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat the growing problem of drug trafficking and abuse in the country.

In a press statement issued today, Police Commissioner Nyathi P., Chief Staff Officer for Press and Public Relations, stated that the operation targeted key areas in Harare known for drug activity. The suspects, who range in age from teenagers to individuals in their 40s, were apprehended for various drug-related offences.

The ZRP emphasized that this is just one of many operations planned in the coming weeks as authorities step up the fight against illegal drugs. The arrests come amid growing concern over substance abuse, particularly among the youth.

Commissioner Nyathi urged members of the public to support the police by reporting suspicious activities related to drugs and other crimes.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police reiterates that there is no going back in the fight against drug trafficking and peddling in the country,” said Nyathi. “We are committed to removing dangerous substances from our streets and protecting our communities.”
