Harare | Yesterday’s custody dispute between Andy Muridzo and his estranged wife Chido “Mai Keketso” Manyange culminated in the musician gaining custody of one of his two young children.
He is calling Chido out for being a careless mother.
The application was rescheduled until November 10 after the two appeared before Harare Civil Court magistrate Nyasha Marufu.
Andy claimed, via his attorney, that the joint custody was agreed upon.
The two have decided that Andy will be the child’s custodian and have holiday access to the other child.
“They have decided that although they can switch off with custody, they will both have sole custody of one child.
The attorney stated, “Andy has also been granted permission to see the other child during the first week of the holidays.”
Judge Nyasha Marufu asked the couple why they were deciding to keep the kids apart.
“The younger child will remain at home alone while the elder child enrols in a boarding school.
“We have decided that on weekends and holidays, he will have custody of the older child while I keep the younger one,” Mai Keketso stated.
On November 10, the hearing is scheduled to resume.
