Former President Barack Obama has encouraged Americans to support Kamala Harris in the upcoming election, anticipating a competitive race against Donald Trump as the November 5 date approaches.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Obama urged attendees to “put down your phone…grab your friends and family and vote” for the current Democratic vice president. He also took the opportunity to criticize Trump on various issues, including the economy and abortion rights.
Meanwhile, Trump was campaigning in Detroit, Michigan, another key battleground, where he accused the Biden-Harris administration of “destroying our country.”

At the University of Pittsburgh, Obama remarked, “This election is going to be close because there are many Americans who are still struggling.” He emphasized that the election is about more than just policies; it’s about values.
He characterized Trump as a self-interested politician focused solely on “his ego, his money, and his status,” claiming Trump is “not thinking about you” and is working to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, which many Americans depend on.
The Obamas officially endorsed Harris in July, shortly after Biden announced he was stepping back from the presidential race.
