A suspected fraudulent dentist was exposed on Tuesday for operating illegally in Ruwa while impersonating a qualified medical doctor. Shame Mukwenha was reported by a local doctor, identified as Dr. Musoro.
Mukwenha allegedly posed as Dr. Musoro to his clients and used forged letterheads and a company stamp bearing Dr. Musoro’s name. He converted one of the rented rooms at House number 204 Benjamin Road into a dental clinic.
Dr. Musoro became aware of Mukwenha’s illegal activities after a client, who knew him personally, reached out to inform him. He subsequently reported the matter to the Health Professions Authority (HPA) and filed a police report at Ruwa Police Station, reference number RRB 6061523.

When contacted for a comment, Mukwenha claimed he was indeed a doctor but declined to elaborate due to the ongoing investigation. “Yes, I am a doctor, but the matter is now in the hands of the police, so I cannot comment,” he stated.
Dr. Musoro recounted visiting the location, where he was greeted by some of Mukwenha’s tenants. “I learned about Mukwenha operating under my name from one of his clients. I went to the house seeking dental services and discovered the situation. I reported it to the HPA, and they instructed the police to keep a close watch on him last week,” Dr. Musoro explained. fraudulent dentist
