Harare is set for a major festive season highlight as Carpe Diem, one of Zimbabwe’s rapidly rising entertainment brands, prepares to host DJs & Decks – Episode 3 on 22 December 2025 at Old Hararians Sports Club.

Interest in the event has been strong, with organisers confirming that over 60 percent of both General Access and VIP tickets are already sold, weeks ahead of show day.
Landing just days before Christmas, the event is shaping up to be one of Harare’s defining holiday parties, offering music lovers a high-energy send-off into the festive break.
Final Touches Underway
Behind the scenes, preparations are entering their final stretch. Production teams, technical crews and service providers are reported to be operating at full throttle as the countdown begins.
Event organiser Walter Wanyanya described the mood within the camp as upbeat and focused, noting that attention has now shifted to fine details.
“Carpe Diem is known for precision and good vibes, so at this stage it’s about making sure every detail is exactly where it needs to be,” Wanyanya said. “We’re fine-tuning to ensure the experience lives up to the hype.”
Weather-Proofed for Summer
With Zimbabwe firmly in its rainy season, organisers say contingency planning has been prioritised. The venue will feature large covered areas and weather-resistant staging, ensuring the programme runs smoothly regardless of summer showers.
“Rain or shine, the show goes on,” Wanyanya said. “The production is built to handle a bit of Zimbabwean summer mischief.”
This edition of Carpe Diem brings together a carefully curated mix of top South African and Zimbabwean DJs and producers, promising a night that cuts across multiple electronic and dance music styles.
Headlining the night is Dlala Thukzin, whose chart-topping tracks like iPlan, Permanent Music and Majita have dominated dance floors across Southern Africa. His genre-blending sound continues to resonate with diverse audiences.
Also on the bill is Sun-El Musician, celebrated globally for emotionally rich hits such as Akanamali and Into Ingawe, alongside media personality and DJ Lamiez Holworthy, known for her dynamic, crowd-driven performances.
Completing the South African contingent is Morda (formerly Murdah Bongz of Black Motion), whose Afro-tech style and deep percussive rhythms have earned him a loyal following.
Local talent will be equally prominent, with Reverb 7, a long-standing figure in Zimbabwe’s house music scene, and Bantu, the Grammy-nominated Afro-fusion artist based in Los Angeles, also set to perform.
“The line-up was designed as a sonic journey,” Wanyanya explained. “Each artist brings a different colour to the night.”
True to Carpe Diem tradition, organisers have hinted that surprise additions may still be revealed as the date approaches.
Carpe Diem has built its reputation on delivering immersive experiences rather than standard DJ shows. The December edition promises premium hospitality, interactive zones, themed décor, and festive surprises woven into the night.
“This is a reset button for the holidays,” said Wanyanya. “It’s about launching people into the festive season on a high.”
From its early days, Carpe Diem has evolved into a recognised urban entertainment movement, drawing both local and regional audiences. Its growth has been driven by consistency, high production values and a deliberate focus on safety and inclusivity.
