Armed Robbers Target Chitungwiza Damview Guest Lodge, Employees Robbed of Cash and Belongings. Employees of a guest lodge in Chitungwiza fell victim to an armed robbery on Tuesday evening, losing cash and personal belongings in the process.
According to reports, two men entered Damview Guest Lodge and approached the receptionist, Abigail Chidzure (23), around 5 p.m. After sitting for about five minutes, one of the men went behind the counter.

When one of the lodge’s general hands, Linah Melisa Machisi (21), attempted to push the man away, she was slapped in the face. The other robber then brandished a pistol, ordering both women to lie face down on the floor.
The robbers made off with USD$136 in cash, as well as several cellphones including an Itel A56, Samsung A3 Core, Huawei Honor, and iPhone 14 Promax.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the incident, stating that investigations are currently underway.
