Kim, the leader of the Spicy Angels dance group, is being sought by police for questioning after a video surfaced showing her engaging in inappropriate behavior with a reveller on stage at a nightclub in Epworth on Saturday night.
The video has sparked public outrage, and the Dancers Association of Zimbabwe (DAZ) is now considering revoking her performance license.
Kim had been summoned by the police and promised to turn herself in, but she has yet to do so. Harpers Mapimhidze, the president of DAZ, expressed confidence that the police would take the necessary action and arrest the individual responsible.
He also announced that the organization would conduct its own investigation and potentially revoke Kim’s license.
Mapimhidze condemned Kim’s actions as a breach of public decency, stating, “What she did was a clear case of public indecency, and we strongly condemn such behavior.”
He emphasized that her role as a performer should remain focused on dance, not engaging in inappropriate acts with fans. “She should focus on her job and not cross such boundaries,” he added.
Although Kim, who is both the founder of the Spicy Angels group and a registered member of DAZ, had been summoned to cooperate with the investigation, Mapimhidze noted that she had been evasive and failed to follow through on her commitment to turn herself in.
Mapimhidze also clarified that Kim’s behavior was not a one-time occurrence.
“This is not the first time she has acted in such a manner,” he said. In light of the public outcry, the Dancers Association has decided to take firm action.
“We do not tolerate this kind of behavior, and as an organization, we stand against such acts. It is an embarrassment, and we must consider the example we are setting for young people,” Mapimhidze concluded.
DAZ remains committed to upholding standards of professionalism within the industry and ensuring that public decency is respected at all times.
