Construction has officially begun on the Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa High School in Mutoko, with all necessary materials now delivered to the site.
The initiative to build this high school in Ward 13 was spurred by former Zanu PF Member of Parliament for Mutoko South constituency, Cde Hebert Shumbamhini, who appealed to President Mnangagwa for a boarding school in the area. In response, President Mnangagwa pledged to fulfill this request for the Mutoko community.

Yesterday, Mashonaland East Secretary for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Mr. Tavabarira Kutamahufa, along with other senior Government officials from the province, visited the construction site to evaluate progress.
Expressing satisfaction with the developments, Mr. Kutamahufa noted, “I am pleased to see that construction of the school is underway. We can observe that a block of classrooms is nearing the roofing stage, indicating commendable progress. We extend our gratitude to President Mnangagwa for consistently delivering on his promises as a responsive leader.”
Artisans from the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) have been enlisted to undertake the construction works, further facilitating the project’s advancement.
