ESISMAD Project African Scholarships 2024 for African graduates
The Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme, a collaborative effort between the African Union and the European Union, operates under the Pan-African Partnership. This initiative is overseen by the European Commission’s Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency, with supervision from the Directorate General for International Cooperation and Development. It also works closely with the African Union Commission Department for Human Resources, Science, and Technology.
ESIMSAD, which stands for Electrochemical Science and Innovative Materials for Sustainable Africa Development, is organized by four African Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and one EU Technical partner. This initiative invites applicants exclusively from African countries for scholarships in various fields such as Materials Science, Solar Energy, Physics, Inorganic Chemistry, Materials Electrochemistry, and Energy Technologies, as part of the ESIMSAD project.
The scholarships provided by ESIMSAD cover essential expenses like roundtrip flight tickets, visa costs, participation fees, comprehensive insurance (health, accident, and travel), and a monthly subsistence allowance to cover accommodation expenses. These scholarships are jointly administered by four African partner universities: Addis Ababa University, University of Nigeria Nsukka, University of the Witwatersrand, and Addis Ababa Science and Technology University.
