Fraudster ‘George Katsimberis’ 5 Days Trial Begins!
George Katsimberis’s five-day continuous fraud trial began today, with him accusing the State of lying and being unjust.
The magistrate placed the case on a five-day continuous roll after seeing that it was moving at a snail’s pace.
He claimed that the State had a habit of lying and that this would damage his trial.
During the last session, the magistrate chastised George Katsimberis for calling Deputy Prosecutor General Mr Michael Reza’s words “crazy”.
Katsimberis is requesting that his case be sent to the Constitutional Court.
Katsimberis stated that he desired a Greek interpreter because the language used in court is not one he speaks on a daily basis.
He also said he wanted his trial to be televised because it was being falsely reported by the media.
Katsimberis went on to accuse Mr Reza of making several lies before the courts.
“He does improper things and gets back up from the media,” he said.
He further submitted that Mr Reza boosts his ego by saying improper things to give news to the media.
Katsembiris allegedly duped a local property developer of close to US$1 million in a joint venture to build cluster houses in Borrowdale Harare.
