Harare Magistrate Mrs. Gamuchirai Gore has rescinded the arrest warrant she previously issued for Molly Albertinah Chirongoma, who faces charges of obstructing justice by attempting to prevent a witness from testifying in a case involving her friend.
The warrant was canceled after it was determined that Chirongoma was not willfully avoiding her court obligations. The trial has been rescheduled to August 29.
The complainant, Kirk Woest, who works as a consultant and vehicle manager, reported that on April 10, 2024, at the Harare Magistrates Court, Chirongoma confronted him as he was leaving the courtroom.

She allegedly shouted at Woest and pointed her finger, demanding that he cease his testimony in a case between her friend James Landon and Ronald Nyandoro.
According to the court, Chirongoma was interrupted by Mukumbi Shadreck, a prison officer, who instructed her to stop shouting. She was later contacted by Landon before she left the premises in a car. A police report was filed, leading to Chirongoma’s arrest following an investigation.
