Heartland Coaches Bus “Bhuru Remusha” Destroyed by Fire En Route to Zimbabwe

A Heartland Coaches bus, known as “Bhuru Remusha,” was completely destroyed by fire last night while en route from Cape Town to Zimbabwe.

The incident occurred on the South African leg of the journey, and though passengers escaped unharmed, they lost most of their belongings as both the bus and its trailer were engulfed in flames.

According to witnesses, the fire started unexpectedly, giving passengers only a brief moment to evacuate the bus. Efforts to salvage luggage and personal items proved unsuccessful, as the flames spread rapidly through both the main compartment and the trailer, which carried additional cargo.

Heartland Coaches has yet to determine the cause of the fire, and an investigation is underway.
