Dexter Nduna, who leads mobilization efforts for ZANU PF, has landed in legal trouble once again, now facing charges of fraud for allegedly unlawfully collecting parking fees from drivers in Chegutu.
Nduna appeared in court on Saturday at the Chegutu Magistrates Court, where he was represented by lawyer Unite Saizi from Saizi Law Chambers. He has been remanded in custody until Tuesday, when the court will decide on his bail request.
The former Chegutu West legislator stands accused of fraud. Prosecutor Tafadzwa Vhore claimed that Nduna misrepresented his company, Team Chapter, as being authorized to collect parking fees in the area. “The accused misled others, leading them to act on these false representations and making demands for cash on behalf of the Chegutu municipality,” Vhore said.

Attempts to Take Over Parking Management
Team Chapter, the company linked to Nduna, has reportedly been attempting to gain control of parking management from local authorities throughout the country. Additionally, Nduna has faced accusations of deceiving unemployed youths by charging them fees for supposed training and recruitment as parking marshals.
Apologies Issued to ZANU PF and President Mnangagwa
Last week, Nduna issued a public apology following warnings from both his political party and the police about his conduct. He also personally apologized to President Emmerson Mnangagwa for appearing at a University of Zimbabwe graduation ceremony as a law graduate, even though he has not completed his law degree.
