Highlanders FC CEO Sihlangu Dlodlo Found Dead in Bulawayo Home

Bulawayo, Zimbabwe | Sihlangu Dlodlo, the chief executive officer of Highlanders Football Club, was found dead on Monday evening at his residence in Nketa 9, Bulawayo.

News of his sudden and tragic passing has shocked the community, fans, and colleagues within Zimbabwean football, where Dlodlo was widely respected for his dedication to the sport.

Dlodlo’s body was discovered after friends and relatives became concerned about his absence since Saturday. Allan “Ripper” Mpofu, a close friend and associate of Dlodlo, described the heartbreaking moment of discovery.

“It seems like my friend passed on over the weekend,” Mpofu recounted. “He was alone at his place. After alarm was raised that he had not been seen, we forced open the gate at his place to gain entry with the help of his relatives.” He added, “I peeped through the window, and I could not believe it. I saw the lifeless body of my close friend.

This is so disheartening; it’s really sad. We discovered this around 6:45 p.m. I cannot speak further because I have to respect his family.”

Dlodlo’s passing leaves a significant void within the Highlanders Football Club, where he had earned respect and admiration for his commitment to the team’s growth and success.
