Hope Chizuzu, infamous for his role in the Asiagate Scandal that disgraced the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), is once again using his media platform for what can only be described as manipulative and unethical purposes.
He has a clear pattern: launching baseless attacks on teams with serious allegations, only to suddenly abandon the narrative. The obvious question is whether he is imagining and sensationalizing stories so that he can be paid off to remain silent.
Chizuzu’s recent smear campaign against MWOS FC, accusing them of colluding with referees, swiftly changed course once MWOS allegedly “engaged” with him. Unsurprisingly, things started to favor MWOS after that.

Now, he is employing the same tactics against Scottland FC, pressuring the Northern Region Soccer League to stall or block the announcement of a ruling that rightly grants Scottland FC a 3-0 win.
He is also fishing for information on which ZIFA presidential candidate Scottland backs—Magaya, Kweza, Peter, or Jere—so he can craft his next move.
