Hopewell Chin’ono has attacked the silent opposition, claiming that they know how Sir Wicknell obtained his millions through corruption during the 2023 elections.
Allegations of corruption have surfaced, accusing Wicknell Chivhayo of securing a major contract for the supply of election materials through corrupt means last year. Millions of dollars have reportedly flowed into his coffers as a result.
Rather than addressing this serious issue, Chivhayo is purportedly using a portion of the ill-gotten gains to purchase luxury cars for individuals who allegedly played a role in supporting ZANUPF during its election campaign.
The vehicles are said to be acquired from a car dealership owned by the sons of a powerful Zimbabwean politician.
Despite the gravity of these accusations, the opposition has remained conspicuously silent on the matter. The political infighting within the opposition’s ranks has diverted attention away from the alleged corruption, allowing the perpetrators to go unchecked.

While the opposition engages in internal conflicts, the regime continues its questionable practices, utilizing funds from overpriced contracts to reward those who contributed to their election success.
The reported purchase of cars from a dealership linked to a ZANUPF elite adds another layer to the alleged corruption.
Surprisingly, citizens appear to laud the individual accused of fronting this corrupt deal, hailing them as a great philanthropist.
This misplaced admiration highlights the need for increased awareness and transparency.
