One of Makhadzi’s prominent ex-dancers, Rush Mabanana, has declared war on his former boss, vowing to take her down as he alleges that she mistreated and underpaid him while they worked together.
Mabanana and another dancer Limpopo Boy became stars when they worked as Makhadzi’s backup dancers. While the latter is now an international choreographer traveling the world, Mabanana has since been let go by Makhadzi.
In a rant on TikTok Live, Mabanana claimed that he had been paid less than his counterpart, while he also covered for his boss when she was almost arrested in a neighbouring country.
“I was paid R10, 000 less than Limpopo Boy. I don’t give a f*&$ how people will take what I have to say, but the truth must come out.
‘They almost arrested her at the Botswana border gates and I took the fall and asked they take me, but the way she treated me was terrible,” he said.
In an interview with Zimoja, Mabanana said he was now preparing to go to war with Makhadzi.

“I had more energy than Limpopo Boy but got paid less. I don’t care who says what. I will expose her; what you started will not finish. I will make Makhadzi suffer,” he said.
He also claimed that the singer had been badmouthing behind his back.
“I kept quiet for a long time. I protected her and loved her like a sister, but she turned her back on me,’ Rush Mabanana said. “I don’t care; I will always be fine but I am coming for her.’ Rush Mabanana said he has also been touring overseas.
“I’m not sitting around and being broke,” he said.
Makhadzi’s manager, Lucky Tshilimandila, said he was hoping the pair would sit down and iron out their differences.
“It’s not easy to part ways with someone you have worked with for a long time. There are two sides to every story,’ he said.
“I don’t think Makhadzi should entertain threats, but when he is calm, maybe they can sit down and resolve their issues,” he said.
