Kim Kardashian has taken her fascination with technology to a new level by introducing Tesla’s Optimus robot to her followers.
On Monday, Kardashian shared a video on her X account and Instagram Story, showcasing a fun interaction with the humanoid robot that left fans amazed by its abilities.
In the video, Kardashian greets the robot and playfully asks, “Hi! Can you do this? I love you?” while forming half a heart with her hand. To her surprise, Optimus mirrors the gesture, completing the heart, prompting her to exclaim, “You know how to do that?”
The video also shows Kardashian engaging the robot in various activities, such as playing rock-paper-scissors, teaching it to blow kisses, and watching it perform entertaining moves like running, waving, and dancing.
Kardashian captioned the post with “Meet my new friend 🦾🤖 @Tesla,” and shared a playful video of Optimus doing the “Raise the Roof” dance, blending both fun and functionality.
In a follow-up post, Kardashian also revealed a gold version of the Tesla robot and a preview of the unreleased Tesla Cybercab prototype. Known for her love of Tesla products, she has already purchased a Cybertruck.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who introduced the Optimus prototype at the “We, Robot” conference last month, reshared Kardashian’s video on X.
The Optimus robot is expected to cost around $20,000 (R349,085), with plans for it to be fully optimized and ready for purchase by 2025. Tesla’s Optimus, launched in 2021, is designed to help with various tasks and reflects Musk’s vision of a future where artificial intelligence enhances everyday life.
