Jealousy can lead one into deep trouble if not properly monitored.
This was proved at Plumtree magistrates courts on Friday where a husband was convicted of assaulting his wife over a late phone call she received.
Nicholas Ndlovu (36) pleaded guilty to the charge before magistrate Joshua Nembaware.

Nembaware sentenced Ndlovu to 13 months in jail and comditionally suspended the sentence to 210 hours of community service.
Prosecutor Selestine Madziwa told the court that Brenda Mpala received a call from a man she called her brother at night and her husband suspected her of cheating on him.
A misunderstanding arose before the husband took an axe handle which he used to assault the wife.
