Mount Mellary Primary School In Hot Soup For Endangering Students’ Lives

Mount Mellary Primary School has sparked outrage among netizens after its bus carrying around 30 pupils and teachers was spotted in Marondera around 2000 hours en-route to Nyanga.

This comes against the backdrop of the government’s directive that discourages schools from travelling at night as it exposes schoolchildren to accidents.

Last year, a Tynwald High School bus travelling at night carrying 46 pupils and teachers on their way to Nyanga for a trip overturned, killing six pupils and a teacher.

Mount Mellary is a boarding school in Nyanga District, Manicaland.

There is a distance of 200km from Marondera to Nyanga.
