A 35-year-old man from Mutoko, Zimbabwe, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for raping his two biological daughters, aged 7 and 5.
The man, who had been divorced from the girls’ mother, committed these heinous crimes between December 2023 and March 2024, often during the night or early morning before the girls left for school . He even went so far as to threaten them to keep quiet about the abuse.

The case only came to light when a local councillor received an anonymous tip on March 18, 2024, prompting an investigation that ultimately led to the man’s arrest . The Mutoko Magistrates’ Court found him guilty on two counts of rape and handed down a 15-year sentence for each count, to run consecutively.
