Nelson Chamisa Unveils Strategy Amidst Political Silence

Opposition figure Nelson Chamisa recently disclosed his grassroots efforts to gauge public sentiment and strategize his political future independently of any party affiliation. Following his resignation from the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) in January due to alleged Zanu PF infiltration, Chamisa reiterated his focus on fostering a new government rather than forming another political entity.

Despite ongoing associations with factions within the CCC, Chamisa clarified that his engagements, including the Blue Movement campaign led by his allies, aim at galvanizing support for systemic change. In an exclusive interview with NewsDay, Chamisa emphasized his extensive outreach efforts, meeting with community leaders and citizens across the countryside to mobilize for change.

Rejecting the results of the August 23 and 24 elections, Chamisa has been actively seeking regional and international support to address Zimbabwe’s political crisis. He has held discussions with diplomatic representatives, including Canadian and British ambassadors, underscoring his commitment to ensuring the people’s will prevails.
