HARARE – In a significant recognition of his outstanding leadership and impactful contributions to Zimbabwe’s dynamic telecommunications landscape, NetOne Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Raphael Mushanawani, was formally inducted into the prestigious 2026 Business Hall of Fame last night.
The ceremony, a highlight on the national business calendar, celebrated Eng. Mushanawani’s visionary guidance at the helm of one of the country’s leading mobile network operators. His influence extends beyond NetOne, as he also serves as a respected member of the Zimpapers board.
Organized by The Champions Africa, the event was a grand affair, shining a spotlight on top-tier business leaders from both established corporations and the burgeoning small-to-medium enterprise sector. Honorees were lauded for their exceptional prowess in management, groundbreaking innovation, and their role in driving organizational growth across various industries.
Addressing the distinguished gathering, Eng. Mushanawani graciously dedicated his esteemed accolade to his dedicated team at NetOne. He underscored the critical role their collective effort and unwavering commitment played in achieving this national recognition.

The 2026 Business Hall of Fame class was a constellation of Zimbabwe’s corporate stars. Among the notable inductees were Dr. Shepherd Fungura of ZB Holdings, Dr. Dexter Savadye from the National Biotechnology Authority of Zimbabwe, and Mr. Justin Machibaya, a key figure at Homelux Group.
Other prominent business figures recognized included Mr. Glen Peters of KDV Bedding, Mr. Wilfred Matukeni from the National Oil Infrastructure Company (NOIC), Mr. Moses Kurenjekwa of Ecobank Zimbabwe, and Mr. Luxon Zembe of CBZ Holdings.
The event also cast a forward-looking gaze, celebrating the next generation of business trailblazers through the Young Champions Awards. This category honored emerging leaders who are already making significant waves in their respective fields.
Among these inspiring young honourees were Mr. Tinashe Manzungu, President of the Zimbabwe Building Contractors Association (ZBCA); Mr. Aaron Kumanja of Realtor Ville Group; and Ms. Nennice Chinhara from Glow Petroleum. Their recognition signals a bright and innovative future for Zimbabwe’s business ecosystem.
