“The future is here, and as an organization, we have and will always support innovation. These robotic models you see here were created and programmed by primary school students. We are committed to building a sustainable future for the next generation, which is why we partner with various tech hubs,” Musunda added.
Mr. Tatenda Makumborenga, NetOne’s Acting Head of Marketing, echoed the sentiments of his colleagues. He emphasized that technology is no longer a luxury but a basic necessity for our daily lives.
“In today’s fast-paced world, technology isn’t just a luxury; it’s a necessity. Our presence at the Agricultural Show underlines how integrating technology into agriculture can revolutionize the industry, making processes more efficient, sustainable, and ultimately more profitable.
The key issues in farming, since time immemorial, have been yield, leakages, and information management. The technologies we offer address these issues, from planting and harvesting to monitoring crop health,” Makumborenga explained.
“We also have Animal Tracking technology that can monitor the movement of livestock, adding an extra layer of security. Moreover, with the geo-fencing feature, you receive alerts if your livestock wanders into restricted areas.”
The reactions from show attendees were overwhelmingly positive.
Many were amazed by the potential of integrating technology into farming practices, making tasks more efficient and sustainable. Some even described NetOne’s displays as eye-opening and inspiring, sparking conversations about the role of innovation in agriculture.
