Harare | Nyaradzo has come under fire following revelations that the company made a 10 years paying client to pay extra for defaulting 2 months.
In a post by Mr Wakurawarerwa, Nyaradzo stands accused of neglecting its client who defaulted due to illness.
He said:
“A Zimbabwean was attacked by cancer in November after paying Nyaradzo funeral services for 10 years. He failed to pay for November due to medical care costs, he died in January of Cancer. Nyaradzo demands $1000 because the policy lapsed. This is evil and demonic.”
However, according to Mr Wakurawarerwa, Nyaradzo only fixed the issue following a public outcry over how they handle their loyal clients.
Another X user also shared his Nyaradzo story:
“Nyaradzo ndozvainoita, I remember when my grandma died tanga tane 5 years tichibhadhara every month but I remember we skipped February and she died in March. Vakatitsikira madziro, taitoda zvekutovam*m*sa, imbwa dzevanhu, kana zvikanzi mari inonka muchivhara vanhu.”
This is not really the first time the company has been accused of fraud, In 2022 the company refused to pay back a client his money following revelations that the client was paying two policies for one person.
“Hie I had 2 issues with Nyaradzo. the first one is that I had put my grandma on a policy. When she passed on, I realized that my father had also been paying for my grandma. So we negotiated with Nyaradzo to upgrade the coffin since there were 2policies for 1 person, they refused

We negotiated for them to pay back cash for unclaimed benefits, but they refused, we tried that they use the money as a contribution for future payments on my father’s policy, still refused. Was only paid grocery-worthy US$19.”
