Pacific 24Hr Hospital Pledges Comprehensive Support for Assault Victim Mavis Mada

Mabvuku, Zimbabwe – Dr. Michael Mandaza of Pacific 24Hr Hospital has pledged extensive support for Mavis Mada, a young woman from a disadvantaged background who was brutally assaulted by a group of young women recently.

The Mabvuku-based private hospital has offered free nurse aid training for the victim and will also monitor her recovery from the injuries she sustained. This comprehensive course includes both theoretical and practical training, equipping Mavis with valuable skills to become self-sufficient.

In addition to the training, Pacific 24Hr Hospital’s gesture extends further. They will provide Mavis with full uniform sets, food, and accommodation throughout her training period. This noble act aims to empower Mavis, enabling her to break free from her difficult circumstances.

“Pacific 24Hr Hospital is offering Mavis a three-month comprehensive training in nurse aid,” said Dr. Mandaza. “This course includes both theoretical and practical applications. We will fully fund the training, uniform sets, food, and accommodation throughout the 90 days.”

The hospital has also appealed to the public for additional support. Those willing to assist Mavis can contact her mother, Sebia Muchenjekwa, who works as a housemaid in Harare. Mavis’s father is deceased, and she currently resides with her grandmother in rural areas.

In related news, the five suspects accused of assaulting Mavis appeared in court facing charges of kidnapping, cyberbullying, and assault. The suspects have been identified as Vimbai Mike (19), Rudo Manjere (17), Lilly Rose Munyoro (16), Lilian Chido Munyoro (17), and Sandra Vhumbunu. The case has been remanded to July 26.

All adult accused persons will remain in custody, while the juveniles will be released into the custody of their parents.
