A woman in Zimbabwe, who once proudly flaunted her lobola (bride price) photos on social media, may now be regretting her decision, following the shocking revelations about her husband’s criminal past.
The man in question, Oswel Tinotenda Tsikai, was one of the eleven suspects who appeared in court in April of the previous year. Tsikai, along with his accomplices, was accused of a heinous crime involving kidnapping.
According to reports, Tsikai and his group had posed as police officers, abducting a man and demanding a hefty ransom of US$120,000 from the victim’s family. The chilling plot was exposed, and the case sent shockwaves through the local community, casting a dark shadow over Tsikai’s image.
The woman, who had proudly shared images of her lobola ceremony on social media, had no idea that the man she had married was hiding such a sinister past. As more details about his involvement in the crime came to light, her initial joy quickly turned into shock and disbelief.
