Police Capture Six Suspects Involved in Major Robbery at Quest Financial Services
The Zimbabwe Republic Police has confirmed the apprehension of Brighton Chikukwa (28), Silence Matambo (29), Washington Mangwanda (23), Liberty Mukanganise (31), Tafadzwa Richard Marondera (25), and Luke Zinyengere (28) in relation to a robbery case on February 25th, 2024, at Quest Financial Services in Belgravia, Harare. The stolen items include US$720,676.00, ZAR 10,500.00, Euro 120.00 in cash, along with a 7.65 mm CZ Vzor pistol, and three laptops.

On February 27th, 2024, detectives from CID Homicide, Harare acted on information tying Brighton Chikukwa to the crime. Chikukwa was apprehended in Mbare, Harare.
Chikukwa provided information implicating the other suspects, including Zacharia Charuwanda alias Zero, Trymore Chimbambo, Maxwell Kadzembe, and three other employees at Quest Financial Services.
Further investigations revealed that Chikukwa received US$40,000.00 as his share from the stolen loot. Detectives recovered US$25,000.00 in cash and a Ford Ranger D4D vehicle, registration number AGC 6541, which Chikukwa had purchased for US$14,300.00.
Subsequently, Silence Matambo and Washington Mangwanda were arrested in Mbare, enticed by Chikukwa. Detectives recovered US$22,000.00 in cash, which was allegedly part of their share from the robbery. Mangwanda used part of his share (US$25,000.00) to purchase a Toyota Aqua vehicle for US$5,300.00, and additionally gave US$10,000.00 to his mother and US$5,000.00 to his wife for personal use.
Liberty Mukanganise was apprehended at Boka Tobacco Auction Floors in Waterfalls. He was found in possession of US$23,000.00, part of his share from the loot. Mukanganise led detectives to recover US$20,560.00 in cash, along with various other items.
Tafadzwa Richard Marondera and Luke Zinyengere were later arrested in Glenview. Detectives recovered US$50,600.00 in cash. Marondera had received US$35,000.00 as his share, while Zinyengere received US$25,000.00. Detectives also seized a Mark X vehicle, registration number AFR 7059, purchased by Zinyengere for US$11,000.00, as well as iPhones bought for US$1,300.00 and US$1,500.00 respectively.
