Zimdancehall star Nyasha Reginald Mano, popularly known as Ras Pompy, finds himself entangled in a court case involving his friend, Wesley Eroyi Shoniwa, who faces attempted murder charges after allegedly stabbing his uncle during a heated altercation.
The conflict reportedly stems from allegations that Ras Pompy had an affair with Shoniwa’s mother, sparking tension within the family.
According to witnesses, the incident unfolded in Mbare when Shoniwa, infuriated by his uncle’s intervention, stabbed him in the shoulder. Shoniwa claimed his uncle had confronted him over his threats and harassment towards his mother regarding her alleged relationship with Ras Pompy.
During his court appearance before magistrate Marewanazvo Gofa, Shoniwa expressed frustration over his mother’s involvement with his friend, which he said had caused him public ridicule.
“My mother is involved with Ras Pompy. How can she be with someone my age?” Shoniwa lamented in court, highlighting the strain the affair had placed on his family.

Eyewitnesses, including neighbors, confirmed seeing Ras Pompy at Shoniwa’s mother’s residence in his absence, fueling speculation about the nature of their relationship.
“This was bound to happen; Wesley has endured shame and embarrassment because of this affair,” said a neighbor known as Man Bugga.
Shoniwa has been remanded in custody pending his next court date for bail considerations, while Ras Pompy has remained silent on the allegations, leaving the community abuzz with speculation.
