Roman Catholic priest Father Chalwe Chonde encouraged his congregation not to be swayed by those who mock their faith, particularly regarding accusations of idol worship.
In his homily, he emphasized the significance of reciting the rosary, claiming it can bring about miracles, such as helping women who feel they are delayed in finding marriage partners.
“Do not worry about the laughter; there is power in the rosary. Even those who have waited long for marriage will find partners through its recitation,” he asserted in Bemba.
Fr. Chonde explained that the rosary is crucial to Catholic doctrine, summarizing the New Testament and encapsulating the lives of Jesus and Mary, from the Incarnation to the coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

He urged Christians to focus on God’s blessings and called for those who have strayed to return to God’s love. He stressed the importance of serving others in need.
The priest reflected on the struggles some face despite their blessings, questioning why individuals might struggle in life despite having supportive parents or good jobs. “Sometimes, despite having a good partner, you may still complain. Let us appreciate what God has given us and strive to do what is right,” he said.
He concluded by reminding the congregation that faith justifies them and that they are redeemed by the blood of Jesus, urging everyone to turn back to God’s love, as straying leads to sin and evil. Father Chalwe Chonde
