During the trial, the State successfully demonstrated that Blessing Mutota employed threats of violence to carry out his crimes. State prosecutor Kelvin Munyimi outlined to the court that Mutota consistently used a similar method of operation, breaking into residences and targeting his victims, particularly young girls.
The evidence presented by the State revealed that Mutota would brandish a gun and a knife to intimidate his victims before committing the acts of robbery and rape. This pattern of behavior was established through testimonies and corroborating evidence presented during the trial.
