The Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP) is a prestigious new scholarship program aimed at cultivating future global leaders who will contribute to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This scholarship offers full funding for selected students from eligible countries to pursue master’s degree programs at Swedish universities in Autumn 2025.
SISGP is the successor to the Swedish Institute Study Scholarships (SISS) and provides an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals who wish to make a positive impact on their home countries and communities.

Scholarship Value and Benefits:
The scholarship covers a range of essential expenses, including:
- Full Tuition Fees: Covered for the duration of the program
- Living Expenses: SEK 12,000 per month to cover personal costs
- Insurance: Comprehensive insurance during the study period
- Travel Grant: A one-time travel grant of SEK 10,000-15,000 for scholarship recipients residing outside Sweden
The scholarship is awarded for full-time master’s programs, either one or two years, and is specifically available for programs beginning in the autumn semester. Note that there is no additional funding for family members, and the scholarship does not cover the application fee to University Admissions.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals:
- Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of one of the eligible countries listed above.
- Admission to a Master’s Program: You must apply for and be admitted to a master’s program that is eligible for the SI scholarship (a list of programs is available on the official website).
- Work Experience: You must have relevant work experience (conditions may apply depending on your region) and have demonstrated leadership experience through professional or civil society engagement.
- Tuition Fee: You must be liable to pay tuition fees to Swedish universities and have followed the required steps for University Admissions, including paying the application fee.

Application Instructions:
Step 1: Apply for a master’s program through University Admissions by 15 January 2025. Once you submit your application, you will receive a personal application number. This number will be required for the scholarship application.
Step 2: After submitting your university application, you can apply for the SISGP scholarship from 10 February 2025 to 26 February 2025 through the official SI Scholarship application portal.
Be sure to submit all required documents digitally within the application period.
