In a recent development surrounding the paternity saga involving Zimbabwean politician Temba Mliswa and Susan Mutami, Mliswa has officially confirmed that he is the father of Susan Mutami’s baby, Tinotenda.
This revelation comes after the results of DNA tests conducted by Identilab.
Sabhuku Mliswa, who had initially expressed doubts regarding the paternity of the child after Susan Mutami’s announcement on social media, has now addressed the issue with clarity. In a statement, Mliswa expressed his relief that the matter has been conclusively resolved through DNA testing.
“After the conducting of DNA tests, it has been confirmed that Tinotenda is my son,” Mliswa stated. “I’m glad the matter has been brought to a decisive conclusion, allowing me, as a parent, to fulfill my duties with clarity and assuredness. It’s all I sought for in the matter.”
Mliswa also took the opportunity to express his gratitude towards Susan Mutami for her role in raising their child as a single parent. He acknowledged her efforts, describing her as a capable and loving mother.
“I’m thankful for all that Susan Mutami did as a single parent in the interim,” Mliswa remarked. “She has been a capable mother, loves her child, and has done very well.”
Furthermore, Mliswa affirmed his commitment to stepping up as a responsible father, taking on his parental responsibilities with dedication and care.
“I will now step forward to take over as a responsible adult and parent,” Mliswa stated.
Addressing the public aspect of the matter, Mliswa expressed his hope for closure, emphasizing the importance of privacy in the upbringing of their child.
“I hope this brings closure to this, as a public matter, allowing us to proceed with the upbringing of this child in privacy,” Mliswa said. “It’s only because of previous public entanglements that I have felt the need to bring closure to it, in the same public, by announcing these results.”
Mliswa urged for respectful conduct from all parties involved, emphasizing the need to prioritize the well-being and future of their child.
“As parents of the child, let us respect the future of the child and strive to have commensurate conduct in this matter,” Mliswa stated.
