Overview:
The Humphrey Fellowship Program offers experienced professionals a chance to enhance their leadership skills through an exchange of knowledge and insights on common issues in the U.S. and their home countries.
Host Institution(s):
Participants are placed at various USA universities based on their professional field and interests. They are grouped in diverse cohorts ranging from 7 to 15 Fellows.

Field of Study:
This non-degree program provides opportunities for professional growth through university courses, conferences, networking, and practical experiences in fields such as Agricultural and Rural Development, Public Health Policy, Human Rights, Technology Management, and more.
Number of Awards:
Approximately 200 Fellowships are granted annually.
Target Group:
Citizens from eligible regions worldwide, including Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe, Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Central and South Asia, and the Western Hemisphere.
Scholarship Coverage:
The Fellowship covers tuition and fees, pre-academic English training (if needed), living expenses, health coverage, book allowance, computer subsidy, international and domestic travel, and a professional development allowance.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree, have at least five years of professional experience, demonstrate leadership qualities, have limited or no prior U.S. experience, and possess English language proficiency.
Application Process:
Deadlines vary by country but generally range from May to September annually. Interested individuals should contact their local U.S. Embassy or Fulbright Commission for specific application requirements and internal deadlines. Nominations must reach the Institute of International Education in Washington, DC by 1 October.
