Locadia Karimatsenga Tembo, a prominent Zimbabwean cleric, is making waves in South Africa as the leader of Nation of Glory Ministries. Born on January 3, 1972, at Chinotimba Hospital in Victoria Falls, Tembo’s journey has been marked by faith, resilience, and a commitment to service.
Growing up as the fifth child in a family of six, with four sisters and two brothers, Tembo’s early years were shaped by a strong sense of family and community. She is related to Beatrice Nyamupinga, further highlighting the interconnectedness of her familial ties.
Tembo’s path to prominence took an unexpected turn when she found herself thrust into the public eye due to her alleged brief marriage to Morgan Tsvangirai, a prominent political figure in Zimbabwe.
Their union, lasting only 12 days, became the subject of intense scrutiny and speculation. Reports differ on the nature of their relationship, with some suggesting a formal marriage while others claim it was a matter of “damages” for an alleged pregnancy out of wedlock.
Despite the challenges she faced in the public spotlight, Tembo remained steadfast in her faith and dedication to her calling. Her upbringing, anchored by the values instilled by her parents, Martha Tembo Nyakudya Karimatsenga and David Karimatsenga Tembo, played a significant role in shaping her character.
Her father, a war veteran who joined the liberation struggle in the 1970s, and her mother were instrumental in setting up camps for liberation war guerrillas in Beira, Mozambique.
Tembo’s own journey of faith led her to establish Nation of Glory Ministries in 2016, where she found fulfillment in serving others and spreading the message of hope and redemption.

Before founding the ministry, Tembo worked as a commodity broker, demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit and drive to succeed in diverse fields.
Reflecting on her journey, Tembo shared, “I started doing home meetings where a few Christians come together, but we ended up meeting in my house more. We had room. I just had one child, so we had a home cell group where we studied the word of God and seeking in guidance from God. And then from there, we decided we should make this bigger so that we can help many other people.”
Today, Nation of Glory Ministries continues to impact lives, offering spiritual guidance, support, and empowerment to individuals seeking solace and direction.
