Prophet Edd Branson’s wife, Hadassah, has responded to supposedly leaked salacious chats with flamboyant businessman Wicknell Chivayo.
Chivayo faced a tough week after his Instagram account was allegedly hacked, leading to the posting of screenshots of his messages with several women. The messages revealed that Chivayo bought a car for Hadassah, also known as Maxine, with her knowledge and then gave it to Edd to present as a “surprise,” all while having an affair with her.
The DMs show Chivayo saying, ‘I love you too much’, to Maxine. She had said ‘I miss you too’ to the flamboyant businessman earlier.
Interestingly, the leaks were made last Thursday, which was Edd Branson’s birthday.

In a statement released on Saturday evening, Hadassah claimed that her chats with Wicknell Chivayo had been edited to push the narrative that she had cheated on her husband, Prophet Edd Branson. She expressed her dismay at the “heartless” act of editing normal conversations to suit a particular agenda.
“I don’t normally respond to things that people say about me because I honestly don’t see the need to when the people that MATTER know the truth but it is very sad that we live in a world where people would actually be so heartless to the extent of editing normal conversations and directing them to come out as something they are not just to suit a narrative that they want to push hence making the whole story FAKE just to push their agenda whether it is for likes, views or revenge only God knows. A lie indeed goes around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes,” the statement reads.’
After the statement was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Dandaro Online, Zimbabweans weighed in, noting inconsistencies between Hadassah’s and Chivayo’s statements. Some suggested these inconsistencies indicated that both were lying. Others urged Hadassah to post the authentic conversations, similar to what Tariro Gezi did, while some questioned why a happily married woman was in another man’s DMs. Here are some of the reactions:
@BvupajenaT:
Wicknell said if fake accounts now mukadzi waProphet whatever that means akuti edited messages, we can for certain establish that the in between is the truth. Mukadzi waProphet akarohwa kabeans hake.
@xxyyz1000:

@tafaranashe:
