A 49-year-old Binga woman has been arrested and charged with rape and facilitating rape after exploiting her younger sister.

The accused tricked her sister into moving to Gwanda under the guise of education but instead subjected her to repeated rape by her husband as compensation for her infidelity.

The victim, promised schooling, was left alone with her brother-in-law in 2013. He revealed the true intentions: the accused had offered her as compensation for her cheating. The husband raped the victim multiple times, even in the accused’s presence.
