Zimbabwe Republic Police Investigates Alleged R*pe and Addresses Confrontational Behavior

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has launched an investigation into a disturbing video circulating on social media, where a 19-year-old woman alleges she was sexually abused by her uncle at the age of 14 .

The victim claims she was given beer by her uncle after a football match, leading to the alleged assault. Commissioner Paul Nyathi assures the public that the police are taking the allegations seriously and will ensure the law takes its course.

In a separate incident, a video shows two police officers wrestling with a motorist in Masvingo. The driver, operating a Nissan Vannette with registration number AEL 6423, evaded a police roadblock and was pursued by officers with the assistance of a member of the public. The suspect became confrontational and violent while recording a video, leading to his arrest.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police urges the public to cooperate with law enforcement and avoid confrontational behavior, which can lead to false allegations and undermine public trust . The police emphasize their commitment to maintaining law and order, ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
