20-Year-Old Man Fatally Stabs Neighbor in Silobela After Dispute Over a Girl
Tragedy struck in Silobela last week when a heated argument between two 20-year-old men escalated into violence, resulting in the death of one of them. Narvel Ndlovu, a resident of Silobela under Chief Malisa, tragically lost his life after being stabbed with a knife by his neighbor, Nkosikona Ncube, also 20 years old, in what appears to be a dispute over a girl.
Reports indicate that the fatal altercation took place following a serious argument between Ndlovu and Ncube, although the identity of the girl at the center of the dispute has not been disclosed. Midlands Police Spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, confirmed the incident, shedding light on the sequence of events that led to the tragic outcome.

According to Inspector Mahoko, the argument between Ndlovu and Ncube quickly escalated into a physical confrontation. Ncube, in a fit of rage, retrieved a knife from his pocket and stabbed Ndlovu once in the neck, causing him to lose consciousness. Despite efforts to save him, Ndlovu succumbed to his injuries upon admission to Nkayi Hospital.
Following the stabbing, Ncube fled the scene, leaving behind a shocked community and grieving family members. The police have launched a manhunt for Ncube and are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to his arrest.
In response to the incident, Inspector Mahoko issued a plea for peaceful conflict resolution, urging members of the public to avoid resorting to violence in disputes. The tragic death of Narvel Ndlovu serves as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences that can arise from unresolved conflicts and the use of violence to settle differences.
