Dynamos Crisis: Bernard Marriot-Lusengo Dissolves Maunganidze-Led Executive

In a massive shake-up at the Glamour Boys, Dynamos FC board chairman Bernard Marriot-Lusengo has officially fired the club’s entire executive committee, ending the tenure of chairman Moses Maunganidze.

The decision to wield the axe follows a period of mounting pressure, with the DeMbare supremo citing a fundamental “failure to run the club appropriately” as the primary reason for the drastic purge.

The Full List of Sacked Officials

The dissolution doesn’t just stop at Maunganidze. The clean sweep has claimed several high-ranking officials within the Harare giants’ management structure, including:

  • Clemence Chimbari (Vice-Chairman)

  • Webster Marechera (Secretary-General)

  • Justice Mubayi (Treasurer)

  • David Chikomo (Marketing and Media Committee Member)

In an official statement released to the public, Marriot-Lusengo emphasized that the move was necessary to protect the interests of the fans and the club’s heritage.

“It is with a heavy heart that I… announce the immediate dissolution of the club’s entire executive leadership,” the statement read. Marriot further explained that the board’s priority is to address the concerns of the supporters, whom he described as the “true custodians” of the historic institution.

The chairman noted that this “surgical” intervention is designed to restore stability, sanity, and a winning mentality at the club. The board has pledged to work around the clock to ensure Dynamos returns to its former glory as the dominant force in Zimbabwean football.

What’s Next for Dynamos?

The sudden vacuum in leadership leaves many wondering who will be tasked with steering the ship during this transition period. With the executive gone, the board is expected to announce an interim committee in the coming days to manage day-to-day operations.
