Alick Macheso and Makhadzi are confident they will do a long-awaited collaboration track together.
Speaking to H-Metro, at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport on his return from the United Kingdom on Wednesday, Macheso said the collaboration is due soon.
He said he needs to listen to the project he was given to by Makhadzi and work on his part.
Macheso said he is dedicated to promoting and showcasing the work of other artists, while also creating unforgettable hits for his fans.
“During our stay in the UK, Makhadzi asked if we could do a collaboration together, she gave me her verse and wanted us to work on the song back in the UK.
“I told her that we don’t have to rush everything as I want the collaboration to be a hit song.
“So, I told her to give me a period of three weeks for me to listen to her verse,” he said.
He delivered an unforgettable performance at the JamAfro Festival in Leicester, United Kingdom.
Makhadzi took the stage alongside Macheso and showcased her exceptional talent.
When the moment came for the “Borrowdale” dance, Makhadzi and Macheso flawlessly executed the iconic routine.
“We had a great time, people loved our performance and we are happy to be back home,” he said.
South Africa-based producer, Mr Brown, took to his Facebook page to reveal that he will also be part of the collaboration.
“The stage was on fire as Makhadzi and Alick Macheso brought their African magic to the UK.
“Proudly representing Zimbabwe and South Africa, these two legends are taking the music world by storm.
“And the excitement doesn’t stop there – get ready for the release of Mr Brown & Makhadzi ft Alick Macheso collaboration next month, brought to you by MBMrecords Afrika Makhadzi Entertainment.”
