Airstrike Targets Hezbollah Headquarters, Claims Life of Leader Hassan Nasrallah

On Saturday, the Israeli army announced the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah following a significant attack on Lebanon.

IDF spokesperson Lt. Col. Nadav Shoshani confirmed that Nasrallah was targeted in an airstrike on Hezbollah’s headquarters in Beirut on Friday, which also resulted in the deaths of other high-ranking Hezbollah officials, including Ali Karki, the commander of the southern front.

The IDF described Nasrallah as a key decision-maker for Hezbollah and a serious threat to Israel. While the military could not confirm civilian casualties from the strike, officials noted that the operation was carefully planned.

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid commended the military for the operation, calling it a major national security success. IDF Chief Herzi Halevi indicated that this strike is part of a broader strategy, with additional operations planned against those posing risks to Israeli citizens.
