Bindura, Zimbabwe | Botha Mine has announced the immediate suspension of Angela Mpofu-Chisvo from her role as General Manager, effective January 6, 2025.
This decision follows allegations of theft, fraud, and concealing a transaction involving over $300,000 USD.
The case is currently under investigation, with authorities citing Bindura RRB 5874696 as the reference for the ongoing inquiry.
As a precautionary measure, Mrs. Mpofu-Chisvo has been suspended without pay or benefits. She is prohibited from entering Botha Mine premises or conducting any business on behalf of the company.
Botha Mine has issued a strong warning to all stakeholders, particularly within the Bindura community, against engaging in any monetary or business transactions with Mrs. Mpofu-Chisvo under the pretense of representing the company.
Failure to heed this warning may result in liability for any associated repercussions.

Press Statement Botha Mine Update on Angela Mpofu Date: 8 January 2025 Botha Mine wishes to inform all stakeholders that Angela Mpofu-Chisvo has been suspended from duty without pay or benefits, effective 6 January 2025. She is currently facing serious criminal allegations of theft and fraud involving more than $300,000 USD, as well as charges related to concealing a transaction from the principal.
