In a surprising and distressing turn of events, South African hip-hop star Big Zulu was reportedly involved in a serious car accident on Sunday night, January 26.

In a heartfelt statement released by his record label, Inkabi Records, the artist’s fans were urged to keep the “Imali Eningi” hitmaker in their thoughts and prayers.

The label shared the troubling news on Facebook, writing, “Nkabi Nation, we are deeply saddened to inform you that Big Zulu was in a car accident last night. Please remember him in your prayers.”

Initial reports reveal that Big Zulu’s BMW 325 was heavily damaged, highlighting the severity of the crash.

As soon as the news broke, fans flooded social media with messages of support, wishing for the musician’s quick recovery.

One fan commented, “We hope for your swift recovery so you can keep blessing us with great music. Get well soon, king.”

Others expressed their support through spiritual encouragement and positive wishes.

“Through Christ, all things are possible. You’ll recover soon, brother,” another fan wrote.

This incident follows a similar accident involving another artist from Inkabi Records, Xolwa (real name Xolani Shabalala), who was involved in a crash earlier this month while en route to the studio.

Xolwa, who was driving his new BMW 4-Series, sustained only minor injuries.

Big Zulu’s accident comes shortly after the release of his new single, “Amacala Othando,” featuring Azana.

The song, which delves into the challenges of love and communication in a troubled marriage, has received praise from both fans and critics. Azana referred to the collaboration as “an answered prayer,” calling Big Zulu a “living legend.”

Zulu shared his excitement for the unexpected creative spark that led to the track’s creation, saying, “We were just jamming in the studio, and we never anticipated something so magical would come out of it.”

As South Africans unite to pray for Big Zulu’s recovery, both his supporters and fellow artists remain hopeful that he will recover quickly and continue to share his musical talents with the world.
