A building collapse in the heart of Harare’s Central Business District (CBD),along Chinhoyi Street and Bank Street has tragically claimed the life of one individual.

The identity of the deceased remains undisclosed, pending notification of their next of kin, as police intensify their investigation into the incident.

Zimbabwe Republic Police Senior Official, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, confirmed the fatality and assured that updates regarding the victim’s identity would be promptly shared with the media.

Several others have been reported injured in the collapse, with emergency services rushing them to local hospitals for treatment.

Eyewitnesses, including Zimetro reporters, were present to witness the devastating aftermath of the collapsed building.
