Bulawayo, Zimbabwe – The countdown is over! Zimbabwe is gearing up for the 28th edition of Mine Entra 2025 and the simultaneous AfriConfex 2025, promising three days of high-octane mining and infrastructure action at the Zimbabwe International Conference and Exhibition Smart City (ZICES).
With the theme “BEYOND EXTRACTION: Sustaining the Future of Mining”, Mine Entra is set to bring together Zimbabwe’s top mining houses—including Zimasco, Unki Mine, Hwange Colliery, and Blanket Mine—alongside 240 exhibitors, 16 of them international, from China, India, South Africa, and the UK. Meanwhile, AfriConfex will focus on “Smart Moves: Powering Zimbabwe’s Infrastructure Evolution”, ensuring that mining and infrastructure go hand in hand for Zimbabwe’s economic future.
Wednesday, 8 October kicks off with AfriConfex’s official opening and a conference on climate-resilient, sustainable infrastructure, headlined by Minister of Transport, Hon. Felix Mhona. Later, Mine Entra’s Buyers Programme Speed Networking Session will pit suppliers against top mining decision-makers in fast-paced procurement meetings. The day ends with the always-glamorous Mine Entra Welcome Cocktail.
Thursday, 9 October will see the Mining Industry Suppliers Forum and a seminar on ESG and sustainability, leading to the big moment: President Emmerson Mnangagwa will officially open the exhibition alongside Minister of Mines, Hon. Winston Chitando.
Friday, 10 October will focus on inclusivity and giving back, with the Zimbabwe Miners Federation Small/Medium Scale Mining Conference promoting sustainable artisanal mining practices. The event closes with the Mine Entra Charity Golf Tournament, raising funds to support Albinism Konnect’s mobile skin clinic, proving that Zimbabwe’s mining sector is not just about profit—it’s about people too.
The city is primed for action, with hotels, transport, and emergency services all on standby to host regional and international delegates. CEOs, engineers, mine managers, and buyers from across Zimbabwe’s mining hubs—and international visitors from Australia, China, Germany, India, Nigeria, South Africa, Turkey, UAE, UK, and the USA—are expected to descend on the city.
The co-location of Mine Entra and AfriConfex marks a new era of cross-sector collaboration. Mining, infrastructure, and sustainable development are now inseparable, and Zimbabwe is positioning itself as the go-to hub for investment, innovation, and knowledge sharing in Africa.
