Chelsea Fans Demand Sanchez's Exit After Disappointing 2-0 Defeat to Manchester City

Chelsea fans were heavily critical of Robert Sanchez’s display as the Blues started their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Sanchez struggled with his distribution at times, with the goalkeeper particularly at fault in the build-up to Chelsea’s second goal.

Following the game, some supporters suggested that Sanchez’s contract should be terminated.

The 26-year-old found himself back in the starting lineup under new manager Enzo Maresca having previously been dropped by former boss Mauricio Pochettino.

City prevailed courtesy of goals from Erling Haaland and Mateo Kovacic.

One supporter claimed that Sanchez’s performance ‘should be the end’ of his spell as Chelsea’s first-choice goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, another fan claimed that Sanchez’s contract should be terminated as they added: ‘Kepa was never this bad’.

Paddy Power joked: ‘Wonder which of Chelsea’s 7 other keepers will be replacing Sanchez next week’.

There was further criticism of Sanchez, with one fan stating: ‘How many f****** times did this club need to see Robert Sanchez be absolutely diabolical to realise he was absolutely diabolical.
