Chillspot Family Member Receives Significant Boost from Independence Day Donation

CHILLSPOT Family leader DJ Fantan commends businessman Wicknell Chivayo’s generosity for gifting a Toyota Aqua and US$2,000 cash to Ras Caleb, a member of their group. This donation, in recognition of Ras Caleb’s impactful song “ZiG Mari,” which promotes Zimbabwe’s new currency, is seen as a significant endorsement for the Zimdancehall community.

Ras Caleb’s involvement to the Independence Gala at Murambinda Growth Point in Buhera. DJ Fantan highlights the value of such support in elevating musicians within the Zimdancehall scene while expressing pride in Ras Caleb’s accomplishments.

DJ Fantan will be at the Murambinda celebrations with his whole Chillspot Family, which includes Levels, Ribhe, and Ras Caleb. Murambinda B Primary School will host the event from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. with a star-studded roster that includes well-known musicians Madzibaba Nicholas Zakaria, Suluman Chimbetu, and Sandra Ndebele.

In addition, the audience is expected to be enthralled by performances including Shantel Sithole, Jah Master, and Diana “Mangwenya” Samkange. Along with a plethora of other gifted artists, the programme also included Chief Hwenje, Last “Tambaoga” Chiangwa, Andy Muridzo, and others.

The nation’s independence is always celebrated with colourful musical extravaganzas, and this year’s festivities took place at Mt. Darwin, Mashonaland Central.

In another story, Preparations are now complete for the Independence Day festivities in Murambinda, where the Children’s Party will kick off today. President Mnangagwa and First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa are poised to host child delegates, with an estimated 3,050 students set to participate.
