In a shocking turn of events, a pastor from End Time Messages in Chiredzi has been revealed to be the father of two children with a woman whose wedding he officiated.
The marriage between Eunice Mururi and Farai Hatirarami ended when DNA tests confirmed that Hatirarami was not the biological father of the children he believed were his.
Mururi recently took Pastor Vhetu to the Chiredzi Magistrate Court for child maintenance, seeking US$700 a month. In a surprising twist, Vhetu confessed to fathering Mururi’s two children, aged 8 and 4, but requested a lower maintenance amount, arguing that his income as a pastor primarily comes from tithes and offerings, often in the form of food hampers.

Represented by Farai Chauke of F. Chauke and Associates, Vhetu claimed he did not have a regular salary and suggested a meager 150 ZiG per child for maintenance.
Chiredzi Pastor Ordered to Pay US$175 Monthly for His Two Children
In his testimony, Vhetu explained that, in addition to being a pastor, he is a farmer and has eight other children to support. He mentioned that he does not have a bank account, only an EcoCash account, and promised to cover school uniforms and fees as necessary. He also stated that clothes should only be purchased in June or December, sarcastically noting that only Elon Musk’s children receive new clothes every month.
Magistrate Diana Musiiwa rejected Vhetu’s claims, labeling his offer insincere. She ordered him to pay US$175 a month for the two children.
