A 21-year-old Cold Comfort guy has built a one-of-a-kind gas-powered generator and is appealing for help to further develop his concept.
Lashimode Matimura told H-Metro that he came up with the concept during the height of the power outages.
“The goal is to reduce the cost of electricity.” The machine runs domestic equipment such as the television, refrigerator, and stove.
“Because it charges itself, it is portable and can work all day.”
“It’s beneficial, especially in rural areas where there may be no power at all,” he says.
Matimura said his innovative gas-powered generator has the potential to revolutionise the energy industry, particularly in areas with unreliable or no access to electricity.
He said financial constraints are limiting his ability to bring his ideas to fruition.
He believes assistance and partnerships from sponsors and companies could help him turn his vision into reality, benefiting millions of people who struggle with power outages.
